Join us for Yoga Foundations!

Are you interested in trying yoga, or getting back to your practice, but don’t know where to start? Or, are you currently practicing, but are eager to dig deeper into the fundamentals? Then Yoga Foundations is for you!

Yoga Foundations is a class that meets every week for 6 consecutive weeks. This workshop-style class will cover all the basics of yoga, teach proper alignment for safe practice, and will offer opportunities for one-on-one and small group feedback and discussion. It is the perfect entryway into yoga for absolute beginners, and is also ideal for anyone looking to get back into yoga, and/or strengthen the foundation of their existing yoga practice.

Yoga Foundations is taught by Jan Chaney, an experienced yoga teacher who has guided people into enhanced health and wellness through yoga, breathwork, and meditation for many years. This series is available in-person AND virtually on Zoom!

A consistent yoga practice helps you build strength, vitality, flexibility, balance, focus and inner peace. Each class will introduce a new progression of yoga poses, teach the fundamentals of healthy and safe alignment, and connect poses with breath in a moving meditation. All classes conclude with savasana, a pose of blissful rest and relaxation.

While drop-ins are welcome, the course will build progressively on lessons learned in previous weeks. It will prepare you to step confidently into any of Yoga classes.
